About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager to join our organization. This role is pivotal in overseeing our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will lead a team of system administrators, drive strategic IT initiatives, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all system environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of scalable and secure network infrastructure aligned with industry best practices.
- Oversee the management of physical and virtual firewalls, network systems, and ensure overall infrastructure reliability and resilience.
- Own the development, verification, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to ensure operational readiness.
- Ensure effective IT asset management, including hardware, software, licenses, and lifecycle tracking, with accurate documentation and reporting.
- Direct the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of servers, networks, and enterprise systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
- Develop, enforce, and regularly update IT policies, standards, and procedures to maintain compliance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the implementation and oversight of comprehensive IT security frameworks, including internal VAPT cycles, risk assessments, and security audits.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats and evolving compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) and guide the organization’s security posture accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation for IT systems, incident response, risk mitigation, and business continuity procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, contractual, and internal standards, fostering a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align IT strategies with business goals, supporting innovation and digital transformation.
- Oversee physical IT security practices and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and service providers to drive operational efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT staff, fostering professional development and a collaborative team environment.
- Lead and manage IT projects, budgets, vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of technology initiatives.
Requirements
- B.E.\ B. Tech\ M.E.\ M. Tech candidates' entries in fields related to Computers or Information Technology are preferred.
- 8+ years of significant prior experience as an IT manager, System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Solid understanding of backup solutions, disaster recovery, and high-availability systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
